WHEN I WAS AT AIRBNB WE FOCUSED ON THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE AIRBNB BRAND; BELONGING. THERE WAS AN ENTIRE DEPARTMENT ALIGNED IN DOING EVERYTHING WE COULD TO HELP UNIFY THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD BY INSPIRING THEM TO SEE NEW POINTS OF VIEW AND FIND THAT THEY TRULY CAN “BELONG ANYWHERE”.

PROJECT 1

EVERY SUPERHOST IS A SUPERHERO

I DIDN’T WAIT FOR A BRIEF. I KNEW THE ENTIRE CREATIVE DEPARTMENT WAS FOCUSED ON THE HOSTS AND SHOWING HOW AMAZING THEY ARE, SO I TOOK IT UP MYSELF TO FOLLOW MY INSPIRATION AND DEVELOP THIS PROJECT. IT GATHERED THE SUPPORT OF THE DEPARTMENT AND WE BROUGHT TO LIFE IN A WAY THAT WENT FAR BEYOND WHAT I HAD IMAGINED. UNDER THE CONCEPT OF AIRBNB SUPERHOSTS BEING SUPERHEROES WE CREATED A COMIC BOOK, A :60 FILM, A SUITE OF ANIMATED STORIES, AND AN ENTIRE ECOSYSTEM OF ASSETS FOR A SUPERHOST EVENT.

PROJECT 2

WEBSITE FOR AIRBNB’S WORLDPRIDE WEEKEND EVENT

THE CONCEPTUAL WRAPPER FOR ALL OF THIS WORK AND THE CELEBRATIONS THEMSELVES WERE BORN FROM THE INSIGHT THAT THERE WAS A RIFT IN THE COMMUNITY BETWEEN YOUNG AND OLD. THEREFORE, EVERYTHING WE DID AIMED TO HELP SHRINK THAT GAP IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE.

 

I DIDN’T DEVELOP THE FILM BUT I DID CURATE/WRITE THE TEXT THAT OPENS THE FILM. THIS TEXT IS IN SEQUENCE BELOW.

 

PROJECT 3

HOST STORIES

I SPENT TIME FINDING AMAZING HOSTS FROM THE VAST AMOUNT OF LISTINGS ON AIRBNB.COM. I WOULD PRESENT MY FINDINGS AND WE WOULD MAKE CONTENT AROUND THE MOST INTRIGUING HOSTS. I WOULD ALSO SPEND TIME WRITING INTERVIEW QUESTIONS, INTERVIEWING AND TURNING THEIR WORDS INTO NARRATIVES AND CONTENT THAT BEST CAPTURE THEIR UNIQUE SPIRIT.

 

PROJECT 4

OLYMPIC REFUGEE TEAM PARTNERSHIP

A SMALL TEAM AND I CREATED A LIMITED EDITION SERIES OF ONLINE EXPERIENCES WITH REFUGEE OLYMPIANS AND PARALYMPIANS. I WAS INSANELY BLESSED TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH MEMBERS OF THE OLYMPIC REFUGEE TEAM TO HELP THEM TURN THEIR UNIQUE LIFE STORIES INTO EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS.
